This position involves working as a Developer with a focus on DevOps Solutions, python programming, and utilizing GitHub for version control. The Developer will be responsible for collaborating on software development projects and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and reliability in the software development lifecycle.
Role will be for Cisco Security & Trust Organization (STO) / Information Security engineering functions with capabilities spanning security automation, DevSecOps, compliance platforms, secure API integrations, and scalable trust engineering / automation solutions using Python, cloud-native technologies, and secure software development practices.
The ideal candidate will possess strong software engineering fundamentals combined with expertise in secure coding, API integrations, automation frameworks, cloud-native technologies, and security platform development.
Key Responsibilities 1. Develop and implement devops strategies to optimize software development processes. 2. Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code using python programming language. 3. Collaborate within team to develop and deploy software solutions. 4. Utilize github for version control and collaboration within development teams. 5. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software applications. 6. Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of software solutions.
Security Automation & Trust Engineering Design and develop scalable security automation solutions using Python and modern software engineering practices. Build internal trust and compliance platforms for audit management, evidence collection, certification tracking, and security governance. Automate workflows supporting regulatory/security compliance initiatives. Develop orchestration pipelines for vulnerability management, risk assessment, and remediation tracking.
Secure Application Development Design secure RESTful APIs for internal security services, governance platforms, and enterprise integrations. Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, logging, and secure coding best practices aligned with OWASP standards. Support CI/CD and DevSecOps initiatives with automated testing, security scanning, and policy-as-code implementations.
Skill Requirements 1. Knowledge of devops solutions and practices. 2. Familiarity with python 3. Knowledge of github for version control. 4. Familiarity with ci/cd pipelines and automation tools. 5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 6. Problem-solving and communication skills. 7. Attention to detail and accuracy in coding. 8. Adaptability to learn and implement new technologies effectively.
Experience with Django and Django REST Framework. Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and external system integrations. Understanding of SQL, relational databases, and schema design principles. Familiarity with Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks. Knowledge of secure coding standards and application security best practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation and Benefits A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
