Ellsworth Adhesives, a division of Ellsworth Corporation, is seeking an Engineering Sales Representative to drive the sales process with existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory (Oregon, Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho). The role reports to SCD, an Ellsworth Corporation company. Candidates must live within the territory (Portland, OR and Spokane, WA area ideal) and possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and reliable access to a personal vehicle. Responsibilities
Determine and present the customer with potential engineered solutions for their applications, and coordinate application testing with the customer. Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate staff (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management). Partner with key stakeholders from internal departments, customers, and vendors to ensure that the customers’ needs are being addressed. Participate in periodic meetings to maintain technical knowledge of specialty chemical solutions and utilize technology to efficiently manage the territory. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and grow sales in the assigned territory. Frequent daily travel within the assigned territory; some overnight travel as required for training and business meetings. Qualifications
3+ years of industrial business-to-business sales experience, preference for specialty chemical market experience. Bachelor of Science degree required, with preference for technical or business‑related field. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; reliable personal vehicle for daily use in the territory; current automobile insurance meeting Ellsworth policy requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 applications. Integrity, customer service, quality, collaboration, teamwork, drive, compliance, hard work, discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement. Expert communication skills across all levels of the organization and ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
