Job Responsibilities We are seeking licensed clinicians to provide assessment and treatment in our Crisis Stabilization Services team. In this position you will have a critical role both delivering direct services and serving as a clinical consultant to the multidisciplinary team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in crisis response services providing risk assessment, crisis intervention, stabilization and counseling, and assessment for hospitalization
Conduct diagnostic assessments, including initial intakes and ongoing assessments
Work with service recipients to create person‑centered recovery plans
Provide clinical consultation and guidance to case‑management staff
Complete all agency records using a collaborative documentation approach
Serve as a client advocate with timely referrals to other agencies, and provide consultation and follow‑up communication with law enforcement agencies, community agencies, schools, medical facilities, and inpatient units
Provide group, individual, and family therapy to clients as requiredActively participate in team communication processes that ensure appropriate services and outcomes
Requirements
Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, family therapy, or a related clinical field
Licensed at the independent practice level as defined by the Rhode Island Department of Health (LICSW) preferred. LCSW and LMHC will also be considered
Minimum of two years of clinical work experience
Credentialed or eligible to be credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional through the Department of BHDDH within 2 months of employment
Knowledge base and ability to access resources for hospitalization and crisis stabilization/hospital diversion
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and genuine outlook about change and belief that people can achieve positive outcomes
Flexible schedule may be required
