A well-established hospital-based pathology program in New Jersey is actively seeking a Board-Certified Pathologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage due to a departing physician and continued departmental demand.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Pathologist seeking a stable long-term assignment within a collaborative pathology team handling a diverse mix of surgical pathology and cytopathology cases.
Opportunity Highlights: Long-term locum assignment through the end of 2026 MondayFriday daytime schedule Night and weekend call responsibilities Established pathology department with strong support staff Collaborative physician team environment Emergency privileges available for qualified candidates Competitive compensation package available Clinical Responsibilities: Surgical pathology sign-out Frozen section interpretation Rapid onsite cytology evaluation (ROSE) Cytopathology sign-out Fine needle aspiration case review Case Volume: 2540 surgical pathology cases daily 35 cytopathology cases daily High-volume, hospital-based pathology practice Requirements: Board Certification in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology required Strong surgical pathology experience required Cytopathology experience preferred Active New Jersey license preferred Additional Details: EPIC EMR Collaborative pathology team structure Stable long-term coverage need Supportive laboratory infrastructure This assignment offers the opportunity to join a respected pathology service with consistent case volume, collaborative support, and long-term schedule stability.
