| Financial Services About the Software Quality Assurance Analyst Opportunity A well-established organization in the Greater Cleveland area is looking for a hands‑on Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join their Information Services team. This is a QA‑first role. You'll own testing from test case creation through release validation, working directly with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment. If you take pride in catching what others miss and follow issues all the way through to resolution — this is the role for you. Location & Authorization Requirements for the Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Candidates must currently reside in the Greater Cleveland / NE Ohio area, or be willing to relocate at their own expense prior to starting This role requires regular in‑office presence (hybrid schedule) — fully remote or out‑of‑state arrangements will not be considered Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship (no H‑1B sponsorship or transfer available for this role) What You'll Do as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Design, write, and execute manual test cases
from scratch
for new features, enhancements, and regression cycles — you'll be handed a requirement or user story, not a pre‑built script Perform comprehensive testing — functional, integration, UAT, data validation, smoke, and performance Write and run
SQL queries involving joins, subqueries, and aggregations
to validate backend data, not just simple lookups Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using Azure DevOps Partner with developers and stakeholders to validate requirements and business logic before deployment Participate in monthly patch, integration, and smoke testing cycles Translate technical findings into clear language for non‑technical stakeholders Contribute to test plans, test case documentation, and QA process improvement What We're Looking For
Must Have:
3+ years of
hands‑on
QA / software testing experience — direct, individual ownership of test creation, not QA‑adjacent or coordination‑only work Demonstrated ability to
write test cases and test scripts from a blank page
based on requirements or user stories — not just executing pre‑written scripts from someone else Strong, hands‑on SQL skills
— comfortable writing multi‑table joins, subqueries, and aggregate queries to validate data independently, not just running canned queries someone else wrote Azure DevOps experience — defect tracking, user stories, sprint management Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through — you don't close a ticket until it's resolved Clear communicator with both technical and non‑technical audiences Based in or willing to relocate to the Greater Cleveland area, with no visa sponsorship needed Nice to Have:
Windows Forms or Web application testing experience Test automation exposure — C#, NUnit, or similar Black box, grey box, or white box testing experience Visio or process flow documentation skills What the Role Offers
