Responsibilities
Join our talented team to support highway project delivery, working alongside an established team to expand our presence throughout the Florida Panhandle.
Maintain close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion.
Mentor staff as needed to provide a positive team environment.
Maintain an understanding of relevant regulatory programs, funding requirements, design standards and procedures through active participation in continuing education programs and professional associations.
Represent SEH with agencies at project and public meetings.
Prepare project approaches, scopes and fees required to complete projects.
Present proposals to clients and participate in project interviews.
Conduct final inspection of construction projects.
Provide expert-level field inspections for conformance with engineering plans and specifications.
Essential Qualifications
This opportunity is open to candidates located near Tallahassee, Panama City, Destin, Pensacola, Fort Myers, Florida, or surrounding locations.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida.
Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, business development excursions, on-site inspections/visits, occasional overnight travel may be required.
Experience in highway design and construction of FDOT projects.
Design experience in any of these: Microstation, GeoPak, ORD (Open Roads Designer).
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of six (5) years design experience.
Active participation in professional organizations, conferences and technical publications.
Previous experience with a Civil Engineering Consulting firm doing design or project management.
