The Content Coordinator proactively collects and assembles schedules of articles, planned series, events, and other activities at each NEJM Group publication. The content coordinator also works with other staff across the NEJM Group to develop innovative ideas for new products and features, serving as project manager for those that are launched.
Responsibilities
Proactively collects and assembles schedules of articles, planned series, events, and other activities at each NEJM Group publication.
Identifies potential opportunities to plan coordination and cross‑promotion among NEJM Group publications.
Develops innovative ideas for new products and features, such as podcasts, newsletters, events, and other activities across NEJM Group products.
Works with others across the NEJM Group to evaluate the feasibility, projected budget, market and uptake of potential new products and features, including assessments of potential risks and benefits.
Monitors offerings from both competitor journals and other relevant venues to inform consideration of new NEJM Group products and features.
Serves as project manager for the launch of new products and features.
Collaborates with people across NEJM Group in a creative capacity.
Convenes regular meetings of select NEJM Group publication staff to assess plans for coordinated activities.
Manages other projects within the department as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and several years of academic publishing experience are required, including in leadership roles.
Must have strong interpersonal as well as oral and written communications skills.
Must possess a high degree of intelligence, maturity, poise, sensitivity, and discretion as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Compensation The target base pay for this role is $55,000‑$65,000. Salary is commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
