Web Accessibility Specialist/Content Producer The position is remote but client is in Albany, NY- contractor will work EST It isa 3 year contract position . This is a 37.5 per hours work week. Hourly rate is 50.00 per hour with benefits. Initiative: Accessibility Mandate- Ensuring accessible website documents/content as mandated by client accessibility policy. Equipment: Contractor will connect to client persistent VM IT Systems That Will Be Used: Office/Office 365, Lythos Marketing collab tool, Jira, CMS, Adobe, Acrobat Pro Mandatory Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with document and web accessibility testing and remediation
Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 and PDF/UA standards
Semantic HTML
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Ability to interpret logical flow and reading order of documents
Ability to write accurate alt text and descriptions for images and graphs
Ability to communicate accessibility best practices
Ability to train and support internal and external stakeholders
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong computer skills
Adobe Acrobat Professional (Accessibility Remediation)
PAC (PDF Accessibility Checker)

Preferred bachelor's degree
Preferred Certificate in accessibility remediation
Responsibilities: Remediate PDFs, MS-Office documents, and website content to meet accessibility guidelines prior to publishing on the web sites.
Training team on PDF remediation
Other duties as assigned that contribute to the key outcomes of the Large Scale Renewables team
