Overview: As an Engineering Tech / Petro Analyst (Business Analyst II), you will serve as a key player in analyzing and optimizing petroleum operations and engineering processes. Your expertise will help drive data-driven decisions, streamline workflows, and support project efficiencies with precision and agility. Required Skills:
Strong analytical skills with a focus on petroleum or engineering data Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., MS Excel, SQL, or comparable programs) Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams Ability to interpret technical data and present insights clearly Familiarity with oil & gas operations and industry terminology Nice to Have Skills: Experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations in the energy sector Previous experience in project management or engineering support roles Ability to adapt to new technologies and software quickly Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Petroleum Technology, Geosciences, Business, or related field 2+ years of relevant industry experience or related business analysis roles Other Requirements: This position follows a 5/2 schedule (Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm) with 8 hours daily, totaling 40 hours per week Willingness to start ASAP and work on-site in Midland, TX
