In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting‑edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. The impact you’ll make
As an Embedded Electrical Systems Design Engineer on the Controls Engineering team at Lam, you’ll design embedded systems that operate as the bridge between software and the electro/mechanical systems on wafer fabrication equipment. You’ll be contributing to next‑generation systems development and drive integration and innovation of new technologies. What you’ll do
Design and develop custom solutions for electrical and embedded systems on semiconductor capital equipment. PCB electrical design for low voltage analog, high-speed, or embedded systems. Work through the entire PCB development lifecycle from schematic capture to system integration. Firmware development on these embedded designs. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand and define project requirements. Manage your own projects and at times lead a team of engineers to meet project milestones. Integrate and validate designs within a larger system, which can include system level and on tool troubleshooting. Present design and validation results to stakeholders. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members. Who we’re looking for
8+ years of experience with a B.S. or 6+ years M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar. Experience designing and utilizing embedded systems.
