Position hours: First shift, Monday through Friday, with start time flexibility. Location: New Hyde Park, NY (onsite). Key Responsibilities
Oversee quality-related activities within the Transport divisions of the organization. Provide guidance to office and divisional associates on matters of quality and compliance. Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements related to operations and may have regulatory responsibilities before local authorities. Review and manage incident documentation, participate in investigations of non-conformities or deviations, and provide quality input for root cause analysis and CAPA. Create comprehensive reports and monitor deviations and subsequent actions per internal guidelines; report deviations or potential problems to global QA and local leadership. Handle customer complaints effectively. Develop and maintain a QMS defining quality objectives, policies, procedures, and performance metrics; organize and support management review meetings. Oversee the Supplier Evaluation Program, including local supplier approval/rejection, audits, performance monitoring, and corrective actions. Act as main auditor contact, respond to auditor inquiries, develop action plans for non-compliance, and provide audit responses. Assist in Risk Management and Change Control processes, ensuring client communication for changes. Ensure pest control and facility cleaning programs are implemented and documented per SOP. Review technical change controls, calibration, maintenance, and qualification/validation programs; support temperature graph reviews. Ensure accurate documentation of all quality activities: SOPs, work instructions, test records, audit reports. Execute quality data management tasks using tools such as Master Control and SharePoint. Implement quality checks and controls throughout product or service lifecycle, including Self-Inspection Reports. Maintain compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal policies; stay up-to-date with regulatory changes. Develop training programs on quality standards and processes; ensure initial and continuous training; monitor training compliance. Identify process improvement opportunities through data analysis; implement Lean Six Sigma or other frameworks; participate in client meetings. Perform other duties assigned. Experience and Education
High School Diploma/GED required. BS in Science, Quality Management, Engineering, or related field desired. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Quality, Operations, or related field in the healthcare industry. Minimum 2 years of coordination/supervisory experience in Quality, Operations, or related field in the healthcare industry. Skills and Abilities
Basic PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Understanding of quality assurance in a regulated environment. Effective problem solving. Strong written and verbal communication. Strong organizational skills. Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with associates at all levels and with external parties (clients, vendors).
