How This Role Works
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) : You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment.
Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program : In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
Support healthcare operations by communicating clearly with staff and the public, assisting with de‑escalation when appropriate, and following post orders for alarms, restricted areas, and after‑hours activity.
Minimum Requirements
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Must be 21+ years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
CPR certification is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
