Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities
Support sales, manufacturing, and engineering efforts by creating all necessary documentation, calculations, drawings, designs, schematics, etc. as required
Perform necessary calculations and material selection to ensure compliance with quality assurance (QA), sales, and customer requirements
Manage drawing/design database – new drawings, calculators, design files, revisions, distribution, archiving, etc.
Create and review technical drawings, specifications
Perform and/or evaluate simulations, calculations, etc. to test and validate designs, documentation as required
Maintain and update, as needed, all ISO, ASME, API, and other QA requirements
Continual expansion of knowledge pertaining to engineering and design quality standards and necessary documentation within engineering department
Perform engineering and QA checks prior to shipment of product to ensure compliance with sales, engineering, and QA requirements
May perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor.
Core Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 1-5 years of mechanical design experience, internship can be counted
Mechanical Design and Analysis
Familiarity with ASME, ISO, and API compliance regulations, codes, and standards, preferred but not required
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, preferred but not required
CAD Software, AutoCAD, SolidWorks 2016 or newer, preferred
Experience in MS Office Suite specifically MS Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding
Problem solving, critical thinking, technical documentation/support
Excellent initiative and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communications skills
