Job Description The Sales Manager manages functions essential to sales force productivity. These include planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, sales job design, and sales program implementation. The Sales Manager is responsible for establishing annual and monthly sales objectives in coordination with the Company’s business plan. The individual provides an annual sales plan and quarterly updates, revisions, and modifications. The position coordinates the specific objectives of the sales plan with all functional departments, especially Finance, and, in accordance with the Senior Director of Sales, establishes both market and target customer strategies for the company.

Market knowledge and developing budgets
A skilled negotiator who understands the importance of communicating both good and difficult news to retailer partners expeditiously in order to capitalize on time and opportunity and create success out of both situations.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes
Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency within the parameters of the company’s planning efforts
Works to ensure all sales objectives are achieved in a timely fashion
Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement
Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization
Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed
Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives and strategies.
Builds peer support and strong internal company relationships with internal and external customers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales management capacity
Proven leadership ability to achieve, influence and develop key objectives with a team approach
Must have good understanding of mass markets to drive a growing business
Assertive ability to troubleshoot and manage difficult situations
Strong motivational, innovative, and interpersonal skills
