Position Summary This role is a highly technical Business Analyst who serves as a Solution Subject Matter Expert (SME) within a complex, enterprise lottery systems environment. The Business Analyst acts as the bridge between business stakeholders, site operations, and Software Development to ensure solutions are technically feasible, architecturally aligned, and successfully delivered.
Responsibilities
Serve as a technical SME for assigned solutions, maintaining working knowledge of architecture, integrations, infrastructure components, and deployment flows.
Lead requirements definition efforts and author detailed System Requirements Specifications (SRS), including functional and non‑functional requirements.
Translate business needs into structured user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Respond to technical inquiries from customers and internal teams, articulating system capabilities, constraints, and integration impacts.
Partner with Corporate Development, QA, Technical Services, and Operations teams to validate feasibility and alignment.
Identify technical risks, sequencing dependencies, and integration impacts early in the lifecycle.
Support full lifecycle activities including design validation, UAT preparation, production readiness, and post‑launch support.
Apply structured methodology and change management best practices to ensure governance alignment and documentation quality.
Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Years of Related Experience : 3+ years of Business Analysis experience in complex system environments.
Experience participating in full life‑cycle (FLC) implementations.
Working knowledge of system architecture, integration sequencing, configuration & customization, and production cutover processes.
Experience developing use cases and conducting gap analysis.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly at all organizational levels.
Strong documentation and analytical skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Lottery industry experience preferred.
Experience using JIRA or similar backlog management tools.
Strong technical aptitude and systems thinking, with demonstrated experience authoring detailed functional and system requirements in complex environments.
Ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, multi‑project environments while maintaining quality and attention to technical detail.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams and drive alignment.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, including experience translating business needs into technically sound requirements and identifying integration impacts.
Customer‑focused professional written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly explaining technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
