Quality Assurance Engineer
The QA Engineer supports the Quality Manager in developing and maintaining the company’s quality system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, corporate policies, and company goals. The role focuses on improving overall quality performance across all operations. Key Responsibilities
Lead process and product improvement projects to develop quality programs and procedures, ensuring data collection is structured, managed, and utilized effectively. Apply quality tools (root‑cause analysis, lean, Six Sigma) to resolve non‑conformance issues. Support the Material Review Board (MRB) to ensure timely and appropriate distribution of materials. Use statistics and quality tools to monitor and improve business processes, troubleshoot production and product issues. Manage manufacturing NCR/CAR activities to ensure timely administration and record‑keeping. Identify and facilitate resolution of problems at manufacturing sites. Prepare regular performance reports, including cost‑of‑failure metrics. Design special testing requirements for components or sub‑assemblies. Maintain current knowledge of welding regulations, practices, inspections, and procedures to support compliance and continuous improvement. Experience
Bachelor of Science in Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (preferred). At least 3 years of Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality Engineering experience within an ISO 9001‑certified company, including welding process support. Quality System Auditor certification (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or RAB/QSA Certified Lead Auditor) preferred. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and/or Six Sigma certification preferred. Experience with statistical DOE, SPC, ANOVA, regression, and Theory of Constraints. Hands‑on knowledge of statistical software such as Minitab, R, or SAS. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of DFMEA and PFMEA. Working knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred). Proficient in creating, organizing, and utilizing complex databases in a quality environment. Deep knowledge of advanced statistics and their industrial application. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and multimedia communication skills. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
