Job Summary
The Light/Medium Duty Automotive Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections, light and follow‑up repairs, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic diagnostics, and licensed DOT inspections at customer locations. Travel is required 100% of the time, and the technician will service multiple customers across the state with a rotating schedule of Mon‑Fri the first week and Mon‑Sat the second week (home every day). This flat‑rate position offers an abundance of work. Responsibilities
Follow and comply with safe operating practices and procedures. Travel to and perform work at customer locations, most of the work performed outside. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light and medium vehicles in the field. Conduct routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment. Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, lifts, and jacks. Perform minor adjustment and repairs on various vehicle and equipment systems including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, engines (gas only), and transmissions (manual and automatic). Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicles, trucks, and equipment involving electrical, brake, cooling systems, air conditioning, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials. Inspect, test, and use test instruments such as scanners and pressure gauges to diagnose malfunctions. Identify problems and evaluate solutions using sound judgment. Determine parts required for each job, order, and pick up parts for installation. Perform work in compliance with safety, health, environmental policies, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT). Document and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and findings on repair orders (RO) using a company‑provided cellphone and on paper. Accurately complete DOT and other required documentation in a timely fashion. Maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist in daily cleanup. Apply knowledge acquired through formal training or on‑the‑job experience. Work with the support team to assess customer needs and resolve issues. Manage concurrent tasks, prioritizing work and time allocations effectively. Act with integrity, honesty, and confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards. Maintain a high level of productivity and meet standard repair time expectations. Communicate with the support team to obtain approvals on repair estimates and discuss RO findings. Participate in all company‑required safety training. Maintain an assigned service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform daily pre‑/post‑trip inspections. High School Diploma or GED (preferred). Valid driver’s license; safe driving record required. Set of hand tools necessary for job duties. Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Automotive Technician on light/medium vehicle repair or equivalent (combinations of education, certification, skills, or experience accepted). Minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience in a similar technician role. Participation in and completion of all company‑required training. Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship; no visa or OPT sponsorship. Skills & Abilities

Pay range of $20.10 to $30.10 per flag hour based on location. Eligible for commission and incentive programs. Technical training provided to advance career.
