Description Job Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of visual materials across print and digital platforms, including but not limited to direct mail, print ads, web ads, postcards, brochures, program books, flyers, inserts, posters and signage.
Maintain consistency and integrity of the Penn Live Arts brand across all materials.
Assist with production coordination and preparation of final artwork for various formats, communicating with external vendors as necessary.
Manage and update the department’s production schedule, communicating frequently with project owners and ensuring design deadlines are met.
Manage and maintain organized graphic files in SharePoint, including design files, proofs, quotes, logos and photos.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3-5 years (5-7 preferred) of experience in a business environment as a graphic designer, preferably in the performing arts and/or non-profit sector.
Portfolio must demonstrate strong creative vision and range of work.
Experience quoting and managing print jobs, as well as working with printers required.
Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) working on the Macintosh platform.
Ability to develop and execute projects from concept through production.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and high-producing department.
Ability to maintain organized files and keep consistent file and folder naming structure.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to consistently and accurately proofread own work.
Ability to interact positively with others in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Pay Range $65,628.00 - $54,600.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level. Internal organization and peer data at Penn are also considered.
