The retail Sales and Service Technician (SST) is a unique hybrid role for stores and is intended as a key pipeline for future career growth within Firestone Complete Auto Care. This role is primarily responsible for serving the customer through assessing needs, recommending appropriate products and/or services, performing entry‑level vehicle services, and ensuring customer satisfaction through thorough and timely completion of services. Successful individuals will learn all aspects of store operations and effectively flex between interacting with customers and completing basic vehicle service tasks as required. Pay Range: $16.00 – $23.90 per hour. Responsibilities
Customer service, sales, and customer issue resolution – 75% of the role. Basic vehicle service tasks (oil changes, tire services, fluid top‑ups) – 25% of the role. Store operations activities such as opening/closing, inventory management, and display coordination – as needed. Growth and Career Development
May assist a manager or act as Manager‑On‑Duty in certain circumstances to support career development. Learn all aspects of store operations and flex between front‑shop and back‑shop tasks. Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid automobile driver’s license. Customer service orientation and a growth mindset. Ability to learn and perform basic vehicle service tasks. Ability to learn and operate store systems. Preferred Qualifications
Two‑year degree or non‑traditional education through a training program, certification, or other evidence of a growth mindset. Previous consumer retail sales experience. Previous automotive experience. Previous management or supervisory experience. Benefits
