Create concept design and component specifications for fluid process systems, including integrated equipment wash and sanitization systems, container and closure wash and sanitization systems, and fluid process supply skids. Design the mechanical and structural components necessary for integration of fluid process systems. Generate and maintain proper documentation of designs using P&IDs, 3D models, and 2D drawings. Apply knowledge of liquid food processing standards for Clean in Place (CIP) and Sterilization in Place (SIP). Create and maintain a fluid component library for pumps, valves, sensors, and related equipment. Collaborate with the Controls Department to develop common control sequences and methodologies. Participate in the quoting process with sales, providing technical feedback. Design new products or modify existing ones based on input from other designers, customer feedback, sales engineers, manufacturing personnel, service teams, or competitive analysis. Investigate materials, processes, and products as assigned by management. Work with Technical Writers to develop standard documentation for process and CIP skids and other equipment. Coordinate with manufacturing to minimize labor and reduce costs. Assemble prototype products using power and hand tools; lift or move parts weighing up to 40 pounds. Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and agencies for information or support related to existing products and manufacturing processes. Answer engineering customer service telephone calls. May travel for engineering field support at customer facilities, vendors, or ProMach sites. Maintain a professional appearance when representing Fogg in a courteous manner. Requirements
Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline or equivalent; preferred. 4+ years of engineering experience; packaging industry experience preferred. Experience in process design, chemical engineering, controls, or field maintenance. Strong background in fluid dynamics, pumps, valves, chemical blending, and temperature management. Valid passport preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. PC/computer skills including word processing, data analysis, and spreadsheet applications. Basic working knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD preferred. Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
