What you'll do:
Analyze downgraded and reclassified card transactions to determine root causes and document findings with clear supporting evidence
Trend client interchange performance and identify patterns, exceptions, and drivers that affect qualification outcomes
Communicate research findings, issue impacts, and recommended actions to clients in a clear and actionable manner
Validate test files during key implementation timeframes to support upcoming association changes and reduce operational impact
Partner with internal teams to investigate issues, align on resolution steps, and provide guidance on interchange‑related questions
Configure or support automation‑related reporting and services to improve analysis, monitoring, and operational efficiency
Build working knowledge of interchange processes, merchant submissions, card brand rules, and Fiserv platform requirements to support accurate analysis
Use artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as Microsoft Copilot, prompting techniques, or similar technologies to improve research, analysis, and workflow efficiency

Experience you'll need to have:
3+ years of experience in financial services, banking, payment processing, credit card processing, or a related risk‑focused environment
3+ years of experience analyzing card interchange processes, qualification outcomes, transaction exceptions, or merchant submission issues
3+ years of experience performing root cause analysis, trend analysis, and issue resolution in a client‑facing or operational environment
Experience communicating technical findings, issue impacts, and recommended actions to clients and internal stakeholders
Experience configuring, supporting, or maintaining automation reporting, automated services, or similar operational workflows
Experience learning new systems, tools, and workflows quickly, including use of proprietary platforms such as IMS or similar systems, with the ability to ramp up through on‑the‑job training
Experience using artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as Microsoft Copilot, effective prompting techniques, or similar productivity tools in an analytical work environment
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
Experience working with card brand rules and regulations
Experience with transaction processing systems and payment platform operations
Experience collaborating across operations, client support, technology, and product teams
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification or equivalent certification or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
How you'll work:
This role is on‑site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in‑person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in‑person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Salary Range: $48,000.00 – $65,000.00 (for employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for other states may differ. Certain positions are commission eligible.)
