Responsibilities The Retail Sales Manager drives sales growth within a designated geography by setting annual and monthly objectives aligned with the company's business plan. This includes developing and updating a comprehensive sales plan, as well as coaching and leading Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Sales Representatives (RARs & TSRs) to achieve targets for acquisition, volume, TPD, and revenue. The position is also responsible for coordinating the specific objectives of the sales plan with all the functional departments of the company and, most specifically, with Finance. In accordance with the Division growth Manager, establishes both market and target customer strategies for the company.
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
Drive TPD and volume execution through sales team.
Manage and optimize sales territories to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with retail store managers and personnel.
Oversee the day‑to‑day execution of the DSD process, including sales, merchandising, and inventory management.
Drive execution of programming at the store level.
Manage inventory levels and minimize product waste.
Ensure products displayed according to company standards and planograms.
Implement and monitor promotional displays and activities.
Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked and well maintained.
Manage and motivate a team of DSD sales representatives.
Provide coaching and training to team members.
Monitor team performance and provide feedback.
Drive adherence to sales and marketing standards.
Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with store managers and other retail personnel.
Work to solve problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
Provide regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and key metrics.
Analyze data to identify trends, develop sales forecasts and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the CPG industry.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales management capacity.
Proven experience in retail sales and DSD operations.
Strong sense of urgency and competitive drive to sell.
A skilled negotiator who understands the importance of communicating both good and difficult news to retailer partners to create success out of both situations.
Strong leadership and management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Assertive ability to troubleshoot and manage difficult situations.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
