The Content Manager, Student Programs is responsible for communicating our mission to stakeholders of empowering youth globally through advocacy, education, leadership and service. The focus of this role is to drive strategy and implementation of a comprehensive communication plan for the Student Programs department, which includes the creation and maintenance of all digital and print collateral and the coordination of deploying all outreach communications to students and internal Operation Smile teams. This role will be the primary creative director for Student Programs, and manages staff and interns in the communication function for the department. Essential Functions
Lead the development and execution of the Student Programs content and communications strategy. Supervise the Content Coordinator and departmental interns, providing mentorship, performance management, approval of leave and expenses, and regular performance reviews. Lead communication training initiatives for students through programs such as U-Voice, We-Voice, leadership conferences, and communication-focused placements, both virtual and on-site. Direct communications and content coverage for leadership conferences, events, and international mobility programs, including oversight of content collection, production, and deployment across official channels. Oversee the creation, editing, and distribution of digital content across the Student Programs website, social media platforms, blogs, email communications, print materials, and merchandise while ensuring brand consistency and platform-specific engagement. Manage Student Programs social media strategy, editorial calendars, campaigns, audience engagement, and performance benchmarks to increase reach, engagement, and student participation. Collaborate with students, staff, and cross-functional teams to identify and develop content that supports departmental and organizational objectives. Partner with Brand Marketing and other internal teams to align Student Programs communications with organizational campaigns, messaging priorities, and brand standards. Monitor, analyze, and report on communications performance metrics, including social media, website traffic, blogs, and email engagement. Support the planning and execution of student-focused campaigns, contests, events, sponsorships, fundraising activities, and community engagement initiatives. Participate in team meetings, leadership council calls, and professional development opportunities while remaining current on content marketing and social media trends. Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support content collection, student events, conferences, and mobility programs. Produce the annual Student Programs year-end report in collaboration with departmental staff. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field. Prior experience in content production/social media. Prior experience working with youth, from elementary school through university-level students (preferred). Prior experience planning events, conferences, and/or workshops (preferred). Characteristics / Skills Required

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and other common business software applications. Proficient with Canva. Ability to travel and work nontraditional hours as needed. Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $71,200 to $89,000 and may vary slightly based on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Benefits
