Design Project Manager II – Austin, TX
Lead and manage complex technology projects across multiple functional teams, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to contractual specifications. Responsibilities
Communicate project status to internal stakeholders and host weekly communication forums for idea sharing and issue resolution. Present project information effectively to stakeholders. Identify and implement process improvements, including task consolidation and elimination of non‑value‑added activities. Utilize tools to monitor departmental expenses and project execution, continuously enhancing value. Translate complex data and maintain transparency, mitigate risks, and drive alignment across projects. Create and manage BOMs, materials, and material lifecycle monitoring. Gather, understand, and translate technical requirements and objectives for execution. Recognize Key Success Indicators and manage work within scope, quality, schedule, and budget constraints. Conduct risk reviews and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. Perform formal project reviews with customers to ensure delivery meets requirements. Ensure all products and services are delivered per contractual requirements, on time, and within budget. Collaborate with Program Manager on monthly budget status updates and schedule execution in core team meetings. Coordinate with project development teams for execution, material tracking, and budget planning. Deliver weekly reports on project execution status, risk, and mitigation plans. Host weekly team meetings and track all action items. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business management (or equivalent). Experience: 10 to 15 years in system level project management. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Lead and develop strong multi‑functional teams. Effective written and verbal communication with global teams. Bridge gaps between teams and stakeholders. Respond promptly to inquiries from team or stakeholders. Support identification and preparation of new NRE proposals for design change.
Travel: up to 10%. Preferred Qualifications
Server/Storage experience. PMP certification. Compensation
