Senior Project Manager

A reputable general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead K-12, DSA, and public works construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This role is responsible for overseeing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring full compliance with DSA and public agency requirements. The ideal candidate has strong experience in regulated environments and can manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage public works projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Oversee project budgets, cost control, and financial performance
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
  • Lead subcontractor buyout, contracts, and scope coordination
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Ensure compliance with DSA requirements, inspections, and documentation
  • Work closely with Superintendents to ensure field execution and productivity
  • Coordinate with owners, school districts, architects, and public agencies
  • Support preconstruction including budgeting, value engineering, and constructability reviews
  • Identify risks and implement solutions to maintain schedule and budget
  • Lead project meetings and provide clear updates to stakeholders
  • Oversee project closeout including punch lists, warranties, and turnover
Requirements
  • 815+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor
  • Strong experience with K-12, DSA, or public works projects required
  • Proven track record managing projects from start to finish
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, contracts, and cost control
  • Experience working with public agencies and inspectors
  • Ability to read and interpret full construction drawings and specs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience managing large or complex projects
