Job Summary Location: Siloam Springs Hatchery, Siloam Springs, AR. Schedule: Sunday through Friday. Typical hours are 5:00am until the shift is complete, with shifts subject to change based on production needs. This is a full‑time hourly position with a base pay of $18.00 per hour plus additional shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. Overtime, paid vacation, and paid holidays are available. Key Responsibilities Weigh and check chick quality for each flock every hour. Count by-product, two boxes per flock. Check robots and inspect for defective birds. Assist in vaccine mixing and training; check inventory of vaccines weekly. Enter hatch summary in the computer on a weekly basis and compile and evaluate statistical data. Pack eggs when needed, clean the vaccine laboratory, operate a high‑pressure and regular water hose, and maintain a clean and organized work area. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned at any time with or without notice. Qualifications Applicants must have at least six consecutive months of work experience with the same employer and no employment gaps greater than six months within the last 36 months. Gaps of up to 18 months are allowable if the applicant was laid off or caring for an elder or child. Full‑time students for the last 36 consecutive months are exempt from the above work‑history requirement. Preference will be given to candidates with previous agricultural or production experience. Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview. Must be willing to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and stacking boxes up to 12lb and occasionally up to 125lb, standing and walking most of the shift on concrete, and climbing ladders. Willingness to sign agreements on biosecurity, animal welfare, and company guidelines is required. Physical Requirements & Safety Safe lifting techniques are required. The job requires regular lifting and stacking of chick boxes (up to 12‑lb, sometimes up to 125‑lb) and use of a wheeled dolly. Workers must stand, walk, and use hands and arms for most of the shift on a concrete floor. Climbing/ladder use, hearing, speaking, and driving a vehicle within the farm complex are also part of the role. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Personal protective equipment includes safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, rubber boots, ear plugs, and NIOSH‑approved N95 respirators as needed. The work environment is wet, slippery, and may involve hot, dry, dusty, wet, icy, snowy, and cold conditions. Roles require compliance with all safety policies, including Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO, and PPE use.
