Über
Lead the effort in the development, and maintenance of our platform software modules. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize requirements and translate them into actionable technical tasks. Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions that adhere to best practices and meet business requirements. Review code, providing constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and guidelines. Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing to the overall technical vision and direction of the team. Build and maintain unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Continuously improve the performance, reliability, and security of our web services and ETL jobs. Address technical debt, refactor code as necessary, and drive improvements in the team's software development processes and practices. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in ETL job and API development, and share knowledge and insights with the team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. At least 5 years of software development experience with a focus on backend development, either in ETL job design and development, or Web Service API development. Either expertise in Java and Spring Boot, or comparable expertise in Python and Pandas for backend development. Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda development in Python is a plus. Experience in Java or Python library is a plus. Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining unit tests and integration tests. Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of micro-services, event-driven architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred. Strong analytical, detail-oriented problem-solving abilities and excellent communication, capable of both independent work and effective collaboration in a team environment.
