Job Summary We're a driven and supportive team focused on revolutionizing the sales and marketing strategies within the home improvement retail industry. Our mission is to elevate the roofing category to new heights and drive sales and profitability for key accounts, including new and existing contractors and large national retail partners.
Essential Duties
Selling: Analyze performance to identify successes, areas for improvement, and strategic opportunities to help clients stay ahead of competitors.
Know when to follow client requests and when to guide them toward better decisions.
Prospect, own, and develop leads through the sales funnel, turning potential Contractor opportunities into wins.
Overcome objections and convert hurdles into growth opportunities, while selling the GAF value proposition.
Educate customers on products and market trends through meetings and store visits.
Communicate complex topics (like market conditions) in a clear and professional manner.
Work with Retail Outside selling teams to establish trust and support as the expert in roofing when working with them or their customers on large projects.
Build instant rapport with clients through strong communication and diplomacy.
Influence & Train: Hone your skills with strong negotiating tactics, leveraging value propositions to position our clients as industry leaders.
Strategic Insights: Utilize Salesforce and Tableau to compile insightful reports to strategize next steps, identifying opportunities to go above and beyond.
Network & Advise: Become a trusted advisor by continuously networking with existing customers and potential new ones. Build strong relationships with contractors and customers.
Problem‑Solving: Thrive in an environment where your problem‑solving skills lead to favorable outcomes.
Build Relationships: Develop meaningful relationships with a wide network of retail management teams, contractors, inside and outside pro associates, merchandising teams, and store associates.
Partner closely with internal stakeholders to provide the best service to our customers and contractors.
Qualifications Required
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
1+ year of customer‑facing experience and ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders.
Proven time management abilities; exceptional written, organizational, communication, and presentation skills; proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office.
Highly motivated, independent, and with a strong desire for advancement within roofing sales.
Travel & Mobility: Ability to travel daily within your assigned territory; company vehicle provided; some overnight travel required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Qualifications Preferred
Experience in the building materials industry.
Bachelor’s Degree or keen interest and motivation to grow in sales.
Experience with Salesforce and Tableau.
Bilingual skills.
Travel Requirements Ability to travel 50‑70% within assigned territory.
Compensation Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on geographic location, experience, and qualification.
Total Cash Compensation Range: $60,000‑$82,500 (inclusive of base salary and an annualized commission target).
