This role is a non-exempt hourly position.
Education Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience One-year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Sales & Marketing with the Hotel Industry preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
Problem solving and organizational abilities.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
Excellent reading and writing skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Prepare all administration documents required by the Sales team.
Respond to telephone, fax, email enquiries in a timely manner.
Coordinate all familiarizations and site inspections as required.
Attend monthly sales meetings.
Attend to all sales and marketing department mail and maintain a correspondence database.
Assist with direct mail campaigns.
Statistical collation and reporting.
Maintain filing systems (manual and electronic).
Maintenance and management of database.
Assist with promotions and familiarizations when requested.
Organize trade shows, functions and exhibitions as applicable and advised by superiors.
Assist with compilation of annual budgets, business plans and regular action plans.
Assist with tender submissions.
Work with other IHG properties and assist superiors, including regional sales personnel, to sell their properties.
Stock control of collateral.
Maintain and update promotional flyers.
Maintain stock of printed material.
Coordinate and maintain supply of corporate gifts and promotional items.
Assist with the preparation of new products and services.
Assist with the planning and development of promotional strategies and marketing plans for the Resort.
Work in line with business needs.
Be responsible in keeping the property safe and secure, and to participate in any resort activity related to Fire Life safety.
Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests.
Other ad‑hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done.
May assist with other duties as assigned by management.
