Collins Aerospace , a RTX company, is seeking a Cyber Security Administrator for the Starburst Engineering Department located in Largo, FL. What You Will Do
Administration and monitoring of COTS Enterprise products including Windows Server and Workstation operating systems, Linux, Broadcom vSphere environment, Enterprise DNS, and application delivery/load balancing appliances. Perform daily operational health checks, maintenance, and compliance verification. Support occasional CONUS travel when required. What You Will Learn
Deploying a wide variety of COTS Enterprise datacenter systems. Ensuring the deployed systems are maintained and compliant. Monitoring and improving system performance to enhance customer satisfaction. Working across all levels of the enterprise IT lifecycle. Qualifications You Must Have
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within 1 year. Ability to secure and maintain a DoD8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Sec+) within 3 months of hire. Typically requires a STEM degree and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience (on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects acceptable). Qualifications We Prefer
Understanding of basic network engineering fundamentals (OSI layers, IP addressing, sub‑netting, TCP/IP stack, VLANs, DHCP, etc.). Willingness to learn new technologies and applications as required. Demonstrated experience implementing computer security. Offensive and defensive thinking to support securing information systems. Adaptability with rapid task switching based on changing priorities.
