We are seeking a Data Scientist to support the USSOCOM Intelligence Data Science Team (IDST) Program located at Stone Bay Marine Base, Camp Lejeune, NC. The role supports MARSOC G2 IDST team in interpreting complex data, identifying patterns, trends, and insights that inform decision‑making and solve business challenges directly for the MARSOC Intelligence Directorate (G2). Responsibilities
Contribute to completion of routine technical tasks and may develop data‑driven solutions to business challenges of moderate complexity. Utilize advanced tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict, and make discoveries in data. Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and gathering techniques. Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, efficiencies, process improvements, and other business outcomes. Assist with identifying opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. Develop processes and machine learning–based tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
Current DoW TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility. 0–3 years of related experience (or 3+ years as noted by senior role). Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field. Basic familiarity with Windows or Linux commands. Basic familiarity with one or more programming languages (Java, C++, Python, R, REACT, etc.). Basic familiarity with Machine Learning, RPA, and AI. Basic familiarity in Agile Development and Git Operations. Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real‑world data problems. Employment Details
Role requirements: On‑site. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible. Travel required: Less than 10%. Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Work location: Jacksonville, NC, USA (additional locations: NC). Salary range: $68,581 – $92,785 (subject to experience, location, and contractual requirements). Equal Opportunity Employer.
