About the Role Our client is looking for someone who brings high energy, a customer-first mindset, and genuine ownership over the end-user experience for a Desktop / Deskside Support Technician. You'll be the face of IT for on-site personnel, handling everything from hardware and software troubleshooting to conference room AV, while contributing to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing team culture.
What You'll Do
Set up, configure, repair, and manage computing hardware, software, networking equipment, and peripherals across the organization
Provide basic network support to ensure full desktop and peripheral connectivity
Perform preventative maintenance on computer equipment, conference rooms, and audio-visual systems
Log, prioritize, track, and resolve IT incidents and service requests through the IT Service Desk system; elevate to upper-tier teams when appropriate
Respond to requests via phone, ticketing system, and in-person walk-ups with urgency and follow-through
Support IT department policies, procedures, and documentation efforts for the local site
What You Bring
Comprehensive troubleshooting skills across industry-standard hardware and software
Working knowledge of computers, printers, network technology, drivers, and related peripherals
Strong written and verbal communication skills with end users at all technical levels
A customer care philosophy centered on solution ownership and high satisfaction
Ability to translate user and business needs into practical technical solutions
Team-oriented with a capacity for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Education & Experience Associate's Degree in a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience is desired. Higher education may substitute for experience, and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
