Summary of Position We are looking for driven, personable Outside Sales Representatives to grow our presence in the School Cheer market. The role requires field presence in the territory, prospecting, and relationship building. Weekly hours are 40+, may exceed during peak seasons.
Duties and Responsibilities
Territory Ownership and Growth:
Own and grow a defined geographic territory with full accountability for results, identify gaps, target high-value opportunities, build a strategic territory plan, maintain a strong pipeline, and take full ownership of performance, activity, and outcomes.
New Business Development and Hunting:
Spend at least 50% of time prospecting in field; cold call, visit, engage schools, gyms, and programs daily; generate new leads through outreach, networking, events; build pipeline through disciplined prospecting and maintain high activity levels.
Sales Execution and Closing:
Own full sales cycle, conduct in-person presentations, fittings, product demonstrations, drive urgency, close business consistently, handle objections confidently.
Customer Management and Responsiveness:
Maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers; respond quickly; deliver high level of service; reinforce trust and drive repeat business.
Cross-Functional Execution:
Partner with internal teams for accurate order execution, delivery timelines, clear communication of customer needs, and own customer experience from sale through fulfillment.
Events and Market Presence:
Represent Rebel Athletic at competitions, trade shows, industry events; use events for lead generation and relationship building; establish strong visibility.
Performance and Accountability:
Meet or exceed sales targets consistently; maintain accurate pipeline and reporting; operate with urgency, discipline, and results-driven mindset; take accountability for wins and losses.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of outside or territory sales experience.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Experience in cold calling, prospecting, and closing.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage territory without supervision.
High organization and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general CRM usage.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in cheer, dance, athletics, or apparel.
Existing network within schools, gyms, or athletic programs.
Experience with event-based or seasonal sales cycles.
Compensation Structure This position follows a draw against commission model. You will receive bimonthly draw payments that are recouped against future commissions. Once earned commissions exceed the annual draw amount, additional commissions are paid according to the Rebel Athletic Sales Compensation Plan.
