Manage multiple construction projects within UCLA Health System community clinics.
Oversee all phases of project planning, construction, and renovation in both occupied and unoccupied medical facilities.
Ensure building systems and construction work comply with required standards and codes.
Develop and manage project budgets, work scopes, and schedules.
Address project delays or disruptions and ensure timely completion within guidelines.
Coordinate multi-craft estimates and technical building systems involving specialized medical equipment.
Use sound judgment in planning and problem-solving to ensure safety in healthcare settings.
Administer and manage all technical and administrative aspects of construction projects.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (Joint Commission, HCAI, NFPA, California Building Codes).
Maintain strong communication and collaboration with project teams, including General Services, IT, and clinical personnel.
About Real Estate | Planning, Design & Construction manages building master planning and construction for UCLA Health. From replacing end-of-life imaging equipment to building out new clinics in the community, we are dedicated to supporting UCLA Health's commitment to deliver leading edge patient care, education and research.
The full annual salary range for this position is $95,400.00 - $208,300.00. Please note - the department's target pay range is $110,000.00 - $140,000.00.
Qualifications
3+ years' professional experience in architecture, engineering or construction. Previous experience in healthcare is a plus.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training.
Experience leading project teams and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Experience with large-scale relocation activities.
Knowledge of building codes, and accessibility regulations.
Familiarity with California Building Code, Title 22, and HCAI (OSHPD) requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CAD, and Bluebeam.
Strong mathematical and accounting skills to prepare and monitor budgets.
