Summary Springfield, VA. The Intermediate Business Analyst at Chenega Military, Intelligence & Operations Support (MIOS) serves as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. This role focuses on understanding business needs, analyzing processes, and delivering data‑driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and support strategic mission objectives. This position is part of Chenega Agile Real‑Time Solutions (CARS), delivering integrated enterprise IT support to federal governments across the United States and abroad.
Responsibilities
Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
Map current state ("as‑is") and design future state ("to‑be") business processes to identify gaps and workflow improvements.
Collaborate with IT and development teams to translate business needs into actionable system specifications.
Query and analyze operational data to uncover trends, build reports, and support evidence‑based decision‑making.
Assist in creating test plans, developing test cases, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet mission requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
3+ years of proven experience acting as a Business Analyst or in a similar systems analysis role.
TS/SCI clearance required.
Successfully pass background and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
Active DoD 8140 (formerly 8570.01‑M) IAT Level I.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to obtain CI Poly Clearance.
Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and enterprise software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ERP systems).
Strong working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management frameworks.
Ability to work independently and effectively within a team setting.
Capability to manage multiple efforts with time‑related constraints in a fast‑paced contracting environment.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
Positive interpersonal skills, friendly presence, helpful attitude, and teamwork.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
Experience working in a home‑office setting and training end users on technical issues.
Technical support skills over the phone; good phone etiquette and customer‑service experience desirable.
Strong problem‑solving skills, including visualization and abstract thinking.
