Mitsubishi Chemical Group (MCG) – Methacrylates Division Job Overview
Plan, organize and direct the MCG Methacrylates Division’s national and international account relationships and strategic business development with monomer customers to achieve planned operating margin targets. Primary Responsibilities
Create, build, and maintain strong relationships with monomer customers at all organizational levels, including senior management. Manage 15‑20 key accounts and 40‑60 accounts in total to deliver the business financial plan in each assigned territory. Coordinate with MCG‑UK and MCC‑Asia sales organizations on global accounts. Contribute market intelligence to support business decisions. Negotiate contracts, develop strategies, and support senior management as per MCG protocol. Negotiate pricing monthly for approximately 30% of volume (~70% of accounts). Resolve customer issues and complaints with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions. Provide business updates via Salesforce, monthly reports, meetings, and TEAMS. Develop expertise with Salesforce, Qlik Analytics, Power BI, and Microsoft Office. Identify, pursue, and develop new customers and new business opportunities. Develop and present sales strategies, key account plans, and volume, price, and margin mitigation strategies. Create and direct cross‑functional teams for exceptional service and special projects. Collect and distribute key market intelligence. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field. Minimum 8–10 years of sales experience, preferably in commodity chemical or polymer industries. Strong business acumen, interpersonal, and negotiating skills. Experience selling at senior customer levels (owners, presidents, VPs, purchasing directors). Knowledge of supply chain, raw‑material markets, and procurement processes. Experience with CRM and ERP systems. Understanding of legal aspects of buy/sell relationships. Salary
