This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will actively manage merchant relationships, develop new business opportunities, and support the day‑to‑day success of the sales team.
Rather than managing from behind a desk, you'll spend much of your time visiting merchants, building long-term partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and helping solve business challenges in the field.
This position is designed for someone who enjoys leading by example. As you continue to develop your leadership skills, you'll also have the opportunity to grow into a Sales Manager role and lead the department in the future.

Location Honolulu, Hawaii, USA
Working Hours Mon through Fri 9:00am to 6:00pm (1‑hour lunch break)
Remote Hybrid (3 days in the office and visiting merchants, 2 days working remotely)
Reports To Sales & Business Development Manager
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing merchant partners through regular on-site visits
Propose and implement initiatives to increase card usage among participating merchants
Identify and develop new merchant partnerships throughout Hawaii
Plan and execute promotional campaigns in collaboration with merchant partners
Respond to merchant inquiries regarding payment terminals and coordinate initial troubleshooting
Work closely with terminal vendors and internal departments to resolve operational issues
Prepare sales reports and share market insights with management
Leadership & Team Support
Provide day‑to‑day coaching and support to sales team members
Monitor sales activities and assist the team achieve business goals
Identify operational challenges and recommend process improvements
Coordinate reporting and communications with the U.S. headquarters in Los Angeles
Support the Sales Manager while preparing for future leadership responsibilities
Qualifications Required
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
Experience in sales, marketing, or business development
Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
A hands‑on leader who can take the initiative and deliver results
Strong understanding of Hawaii's business environment, particularly the tourism, hospitality, retail, or restaurant industries
Valid U.S. work authorization
Preferred
Experience in the credit cards, payments, banking, or financial services industries
Established business network within Waikiki or Hawaii's hospitality, retail, or tourism sectors
Japanese language skills are welcome, but not required
Compensation & Benefits Starting Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 annually (depending on experience)
