At OTR, carrier sales is the heartbeat of our operation. You’ll build and maintain strong carrier relationships, match freight with the right partners, and negotiate competitive rates that balance service quality and profitability. You’ll monitor shipments in real time, solve problems on the fly, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure every load runs smoothly. This is a fast-paced, relationship-driven role where your work directly impacts client satisfaction and company growth. What You’ll Do
Prospect, qualify, and onboard carriers to grow a reliable network. Build long-term relationships with carrier reps, dispatchers, and drivers. Source and match carriers to customer freight, negotiating rates and terms. Monitor active shipments, resolving issues with urgency and professionalism. Ensure accurate load details, rate confirmations, and tracking updates in the TMS. Track and analyze carrier performance to drive loyalty and efficiency. Experience & Qualifications
1+ years in carrier sales, logistics, or freight brokerage (preferred). Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; TMS experience is a plus. Analytical mindset with a customer-first approach.
