Job Description Copywriter will join the Picksy marketing team at People Inc and will be responsible for the creation of all copy to market Picksy, crafting high-converting marketing messaging for a variety of channels, including email, social, SMS, ads, partnership placements, and onsite. The role reports to the Head of Marketing and requires a strong foundation in direct response copywriting.
Responsibilities
Write high-performing direct response copy for all Picksy channels and assets, including website landing pages, ads, email, SMS, social, partnership placements, and onsite.
Conceive, pitch, develop, and test new hooks and offers in messaging, including evergreen and timely ideas.
Craft messaging and offers tailored to different audience segments and channels.
Analyze campaign performance and iterate based on results.
Collaborate with designers to ensure copy and creative work together effectively.
Build and maintain a library of winning messages, headlines, offers, and customer insights.
Identify messaging opportunities through platform insights and performance data.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent training and/or experience.
3+ years of direct response copywriting experience.
Proven experience writing copy that drives measurable results.
Experience crafting copy for a variety of channels, including websites, email, and paid ads.
Strong portfolio demonstrating conversion-focused work.
Strategic ability to translate goals into content that drives signups.
Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities; able to organize, multi-task, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
A proactive, highly collaborative self-starter comfortable partnering across teams and levels.
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, startup-style environment with shifting priorities.
Familiarity with shopping and commerce.
Strong understanding of customer psychology and consumer behavior.
Ability to develop messaging from customer research and insights.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Benefits Salary: New York: $67,000.00 – $80,000.00 (actual pay may vary based on experience, location, and performance).
