Purpose of the Role : Design, develop, implement, and maintain statistical, mathematical, and machine learning models to support decision‑making across credit risk, fraud detection, customer segmentation, marketing optimization, and financial crime detection. Key Responsibilities
Acquire and collect data from internal databases, external datasets, and real‑time feeds; perform data cleaning and pre‑processing to ensure quality. Design and implement data management strategies for model maintenance and future development. Develop and implement statistical and machine learning models, monitor real‑time performance, and identify potential issues or biases. Lead training, mentoring, and knowledge‑sharing sessions to uplift ML capability across the organization. Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to keep the organization at the forefront of AI innovation. Collaborate with Control Owners, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Operations, and Model Validation teams to communicate model risk, performance, and lifecycle data. Ensure transaction monitoring (TM) solutions are rigorously built and embedded into routine processes to detect money‑laundering and financial‑crime risks. Contribute to strategic detection projects, designing and delivering advanced analytics solutions that strengthen the financial‑crime prevention framework. Lead or collaborate on complex data analysis and problem‑solving for financial‑crime related issues, presenting findings with visualizations and business‑friendly language. Coach and evaluate employees, set objectives, and administer performance appraisals aligned with business objectives. Identify and mitigate risks, develop new policies and procedures that support control and governance. Engage cross‑functional teams to align processes and support the organization’s strategy. Advanced coding skills in Python, PySpark, Scala, or SQL. Strong analytics background with experience in databases, modelling, mathematics, and machine learning. Experience in financial crime areas, especially transaction monitoring tuning, optimization, and model risk validation. Experience in entity resolution and network analysis. Ability to solve complex problems with logical analytics and present findings clearly through visualizations and business‑friendly language. Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders. Demonstrated risk and control acumen, strategic thinking, business acumen, and digital technology insight. Location & Compensation
Location: New York, NY Base Salary: $110,000 - $155,000 per year. Additional Information
Additional compensation or benefits may be available. This role includes responsibilities related to transformation projects, collaboration on cross‑functional initiatives, and compliance with the organization’s governance framework.
