The Opportunity As AssetMark accelerates data‑driven transformation, the VP, Analytics will lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of analytics across the organization. This executive will establish and drive a high‑impact analytics center, enabling scalable insights and advanced modeling to unlock new business opportunities, strengthen client experiences, and drive operational performance. The ideal candidate excels at working across business and technology, ensuring that analytics initiatives deliver measurable results while upholding robust governance and compliance standards.
We can only consider candidates who can accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to one of our following offices: Charlotte, NC; Phoenix, AZ; Concord, CA; or Chicago, IL.
Analytics Strategy & Leadership
Define and implement a comprehensive analytics strategy aligned with AssetMark’s business objectives and growth plans, identifying new opportunities to leverage data‑driven insights for competitive differentiation.
Champion the adoption of predictive analytics, AI, and machine learning for business process improvement, advisor enablement, and client impact.
Own enterprise business intelligence capabilities, including executive reporting, KPI frameworks, dashboard strategy, and self‑service analytics.
Analytics Operations
Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of analytics operations, including advanced reporting platforms, data visualization tools, and analytics pipelines ensuring scalability and reliability.
Oversee the integration and enhancement of company analytics infrastructure with AssetMark’s enterprise data lake and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure), enabling seamless access to trusted, high‑quality data.
Advanced Analytics & Insights
Direct the development and operationalization of advanced analytics solutions, including segmentation, forecasting, next‑best‑action models, lead‑scoring algorithms, and process automation.
Foster a culture of analytics‑driven decision‑making across all business units, enabling teams to leverage self‑service analytics resources and robust BI platforms.
Drive innovation through advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI‑enabled solutions to solve critical business challenges.
Business Integration & Impact
Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations leaders to leverage analytics for business optimization and client outcomes, embedding recommendations and insights into workflow tools and business intelligence.
Lead cross‑functional analytics projects, ensuring alignment to business goals and delivering actionable insights at speed and scale.
Establish analytics operating models, prioritization frameworks, and governance processes to ensure scalable and business‑aligned delivery.
Team Building & Talent Development
Build and develop a world‑class analytics team, attracting top talent in data engineering, analytics, and data science.
Mentor, coach, and promote professional growth within the analytics function, fostering a high‑performance, innovation‑focused culture.
Qualifications & Experience Leadership & Experience
12+ years of professional experience in analytics, data science, or business intelligence.
Preferred candidates will have 5+ years in leadership roles within wealth management, asset management, or financial services.
Demonstrable experience architecting and scaling analytics organizations, including building advanced analytics and data science capabilities.
Technical Expertise
Deep expertise in business intelligence, advanced analytics (predictive modeling, segmentation, forecasting), machine learning, and cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure).
Proficient with analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, and relevant ML frameworks.
Business & Communication Skills
Exceptional ability to translate complex analytics findings into business opportunities and strategies, with strong communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
Proven track record of leading high‑impact analytics teams and projects in entrepreneurial, growth‑focused environments.
Governance & Compliance
Strong background in analytics governance, data quality, privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks specific to financial services and wealth management.
Leadership & Education
Outstanding leadership qualities, demonstrated ability to attract, mentor, and retain top analytics talent.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.

Compensation Base Salary range: $260,000 – $285,000. This position may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
