Required Procedures / Duties
Esophageal Dilatation / Manometry & Interpretation
Small Bowel Biopsy
Lower GI Endoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy
Liver Biopsy
Sengstaken/Blakemore Tube insertion & management
EUS
(preferred)
ERCP - required
Upper GI Endoscopy, including: Biopsy
Foreign body removal
Cautery/laser
Variceal injection/banding
Therapeutic/diagnostic ERCP
PEG placement
Average:
8 procedures per weekend (mix of GSI, Hepatology, RGA, Surgery, Colon, EGD, ERCP) Candidate Requirements
Board Certified
Required
Active Virginia License
Required
ERCP competent

EUS experience

Clean malpractice for temp privileges
