Regional Adoption Leadership (US Focal Point) – 40%
Serve as the regional focal point in the US, championing the adoption of analytics and automation tools, fostering awareness, facilitating collaboration, and supporting the organization’s transformation towards a data‑driven culture. Act as a coach and advisor to cross‑functional teams, guiding them on data quality improvement plans and supporting them in developing their own MVVs and analytics use cases. Business Improvement and Opportunity Identification – 30%
Engage with functional teams to understand end‑to‑end processes, identify pain points, and uncover opportunities for improvement through data and emerging technologies. Design and deliver Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to quickly test, validate, and address critical business challenges. Data Analysis and Insight – 30%
Conduct in‑depth data analysis and experimentation to uncover valuable business insights and support data‑driven decision‑making. Translate analysis into actionable outcomes by developing automated tools, visual dashboards, reports, or workflows that enhance productivity and business value. Additional Responsibilities – 5%
Defining Data Standards
Formally define and document data standards and governance policies in collaboration with domain experts to ensure consistency and integrity across the organization. Continuous Learning and Research
Stay current on emerging technologies, algorithms, and industry best practices to provide technological insights and ensure the team’s capabilities remain state‑of‑the‑art.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related field. Domestic and international travel – 10% of the role. Authorized to work in the US. Quick learner, passionate, driven to get things done, and collaborative. Pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset, comfortable with rapid experimentation and iteration. Ability to lead by example and inspire others to embrace technology and data‑driven initiatives. Must build strong relationships and work closely with cross‑functional teams. Understanding of the intersection of data and business processes, and passion for solving real‑world industrial and operational challenges. Empathy to understand the unique challenges and concerns of different teams and tailor approaches to address their specific needs regarding technology and analytics adoption. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Robust coding abilities (Python). Experience working with APIs, algorithms, and data structures. Preferred: 3‑5 years of experience in an analytics, data science, or similar role within a complex business environment. Preferred: Experience with DevOps tools, modern cloud stack, and practices. Physical Requirements
Onsite or remote – 60% onsite. Vision: Daily ability to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment, read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Hearing: Daily ability to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Speaking: Daily ability to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Daily ability to operate most office and personal electronic equipment. Carrying: Daily ability to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30 lbs (14 kg). Lifting: Daily ability to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30 lbs (14 kg). Pushing / Pulling: Daily ability to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Sitting: Daily ability to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. Squatting / Kneeling: Daily ability to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Standing: Daily ability to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. Travel: Twice a year able to travel independently and at short notice. Walking (including routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Daily ability to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and/or protective gloves as required by site and/or customer site. For administrative positions only, steel‑toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits; appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
