Responsibilities
You will provide business planning including workload forecasting, strategic and long-range planning, scheduling, metrics, and corporate and command analysis.
You will interact with leaders and stakeholders to support planning product strategies, execution plans, metrics, resourcing, and development of new products to be used by command and corporate users.
You will review, analyze and monitor schedule, manning, cost data and project performance with all Programs in Code 730.
You will review reports and make recommendations for corrective actions of specific performance issues.
You will coordinate and analyze pertinent workload and workforce data for all Department direct and indirect work in preparing department, program and project workload forecasts in matters concerning short-term tactical workload/workforce alignment.
You will conduct short-range studies to determine possible resource requirements and resource mitigation strategies based on changing work practices, project management plans, and workforce adjustments.
You will provide guidance and direction in matters concerning alignment of long-range scheduling including mitigation strategies and project resource constrained schedule assessments and impacts.
You will provide data, reports and support for processes such as overtime budgets, availability timelines, and historical project schedule ramp ups.
You will develop and provide reliable software tools, reports and/or metrics to help with performance and corrective actions to support efficient planning and execution of all areas of Code 730.
You will evaluate methods and techniques to modify and improve applications that support program and project requirements and integrate findings with current business practices.
You will ensure lean concepts and practices are applied to the analysis development and accomplishment of quality software systems, metrics, and improvement initiatives.

This is a bargaining unit position.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing business analysis to include workload forecasting and strategic planning relating to ship maintenance and repair projects. Examples of qualifying experience may include interpreting and analyzing information to forecast workload or develop metrics for business or operations processes; evaluating project performance; providing guidance in matters concerning long-range scheduling; and/or evaluating the impact of changes to operational plans.
