The USA Regional Experiences team’s mission is to grow the US remittance send business by improving the customer experience across key moments – onboarding, payment, and disbursement. As an engineer, you will apply your front‑end‑leaning, full‑stack skillset to solve challenges that help immigrants and their families send money from the United States, building the next generation of trusted, borderless financial services. You Will
Develop high‑quality, reusable, and scalable code using React Native, TypeScript, Go, Java/Kotlin, and AWS, delivering well‑tested, observable, documented, efficient, and resilient solutions with a customer‑centric mindset. Rapidly prototype to solve complex problems. Leverage modern AI‑powered development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and security standards. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts to achieve outstanding customer experiences. Contribute to the architecture and technical roadmap of our software systems, balancing short‑term goals with long‑term scalability and maintainability. Participate in code reviews, sprint rituals, hiring, and mentoring. Advocate for the best customer experience, offering creative and swift solutions. Report to the Engineering Manager of the USA Regional Experiences team. You Have
Strong computer science fundamentals, web and native app knowledge, and design‑pattern experience. 3+ years of software development experience. 1+ year of React or React Native development. Professional experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, or Go. Knowledge of basic architecture, systems design, and agile practices. Excellent collaboration skills. Compensation Details
The starting base salary range is typically $144,000 – $180,000. Remitly employees are shareholders, and equity is part of the total compensation plan.
