Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Semiconductor Senior Quality Control Manager to work with our team alongside a key technology client and manage Semiconductor construction. The role will be responsible for managing the project from the construction phase, commissioning, and close out.

The ideal candidate will be resilient, self-starter, and able to take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will also have an engineering, commissioning, or construction background with strong mechanical and MEP knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Works under the direction of the client Project Director to provide Quality Control Systems Management and Oversight on a large-scale hi tech and manufacturing construction project.
  • Onsite at all times during construction with desk time required for compiling regular reports and reviewing them with the client.
  • Responsible for overall management of Construction Quality Control on behalf of the client.
  • Authority to act in all quality control matters for the client.
  • Review and approve all construction contractor quality control reports.
  • Follow up on all quality non-conformances to ensure that issues are addressed and corrected in accordance with good engineering practice, applicable codes and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with the construction manager and client project engineer to obtain necessary approvals and sign offs on all corrective actions.
  • Overall responsibility and oversight for quality aspects of the project, including management of all quality control processes and reporting.
  • Responsible for inspection and acceptance of equipment delivered to the site.
Qualifications
  • A graduate engineer, or a graduate of construction management, with a preferred minimum of 10 years of construction experience on construction projects greater than $100m.
  • Completion of the Construction Quality Management for contractor course within the last five (5) years, or the ability and willingness to obtain the CQM for Contractors course certification within 90 days of onboarding.
  • Verifiable experience as an approved Construction Quality Control Manager on projects (references required).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated planning, problem solving, data analysis, blueprint reading, organizing, inter-personal, and communication skills with proven leadership skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Must be able to move freely about a construction site that at times presents a demanding terrain including, but not limited to, climbing of ladders and stair towers, uneven and often wet surfaces, and slopes.
