About Us
Quantec Consultants Ltd is a well-established electrical testing and compliance company working with schools, NHS trusts, local authorities and major commercial clients throughout the South East.
As our business continues to grow and become increasingly technology-driven, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our office team and develop into a key member of our IT department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a school or college leaver, or someone at the beginning of their IT career, to gain hands-on experience whilst receiving ongoing training and development.
About the Role
This is a varied role where no two days are the same.
You will work alongside our experienced team, learning how our business systems operate while helping to keep our office technology running smoothly.
Over time, you will receive training and take increasing responsibility for managing our IT systems and supporting staff throughout the business.
Alongside the IT element, you will also assist with producing CAD drawings for electrical installations, giving you experience in both IT and technical design.
What You'll Be Doing
* Setting up new computers, laptops and mobile devices
* Creating and managing user accounts and email addresses
* Providing first-line IT support to office staff and engineers
* Assisting with maintaining the company network and servers
* Helping to troubleshoot software and hardware issues
* Learning how our in-house reporting systems operate
* Producing and updating CAD drawings
* Assisting with software installations and updates
* Supporting ongoing IT improvement projects
* Working closely with all departments across the business
Training & Development
We are looking for someone with the right attitude rather than extensive experience.
Full training will be provided, including opportunities to gain recognised IT qualifications and industry certifications as your experience grows.
This role has genuine long-term career progression, with the opportunity to develop into a senior IT Systems role within the company.
What We're Looking For

* Organised and reliable
* Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office
* An interest in networking or CAD would be an advantage but is not essential
* GCSEs (including Maths and English) or equivalent qualifications
