Physical Therapy Assistant

FlexStaff is seeking a PTA to join our client's team and work in state-of-the-art day hab facilities throughout Manhattan & Brooklyn, NY.

We are seeking a dedicated PTA to help us empower our clients to achieve their best!

Responsibilities:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant at CP Unlimited, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement tailored treatment plans focused on improving or maintaining functional abilities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Your responsibilities include assisting with exercises, applying therapeutic techniques, monitoring patient responses, and documenting progressall while collaborating with healthcare professionals and supporting families.

- Execute treatment programs designed by supervising PTs, including exercises and adaptive equipment use

- Observe and document patient responses, noting progress or concerns to share with the team

- Communicate effectively with therapists, physicians, and other team members to ensure coordinated care

- Maintain accurate, detailed records of sessions, progress, and observations

- Provide training and support to individuals receiving services, families, and direct care staff on exercises and equipment

- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development to enhance skills and stay current with best practices

Qualifications:

- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting (required)

- Licensed or license-eligible as a PTA in New York State

- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus, but entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills

- Committed to person-centered care, teamwork, and continuous learning
