Job Overview The Inside Sales Rep I (ISR I) represents AmeriGas, building business through inbound and outbound campaigns while meeting or exceeding sales expectations. Responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying leads, retaining customers, reactivating lost customers, and providing digital support.
Key Characteristics

Ability to work independently and remotely within call‑center teams and with leadership expectations
ISR I’s main objective is to make outbound calls to lost customers, recently inactive customers, and prospective customers
Maintain complete records of customer interactions and process/activities through detailed notes in CRM and/or SAP; complete contracts and generate orders when the sale is closed
Deliver a positive customer experience, increase sales, build relationships, and offer promotional items to existing customers
Outbound Prospecting
Contact existing customer base with marketing promotions/offers
Make outbound calls to existing customer accounts for marketing promotions
Qualify customer: assess current use and needs to determine serviceability, present key value statements and sales messaging to retain the customer
Appropriately apply special offers/pricing to existing customers
Upon customer affirmation, complete all necessary steps to deliver on product/service sold
Enter and maintain pertinent customer information in required systems (CRM/SAP Databases)
Administrative Work / Secondary Duties
Maintain complete records of customer and prospect interactions and process/activities through detailed notes in CRM/SAP
Comply with all company policies
Accept tasks assigned by sales manager to support sales efforts
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Effective use of sales techniques, including prospecting, discovery, value‑proposition development, objection handling, and customer acquisition
Efficient and accurate use of systems and tools (CRM, SAP, Microsoft Office products, business websites/systems)
Strong telephone presence and interpersonal skills
Effective and professional communication in English, both verbal and written
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize workload, and maintain strong organizational and time‑management skills
Active listening and inquiry to discover/understand prospect needs
Motivated and results‑driven
Collaborate effectively with others; participate in team/center activities; give and receive coaching well
Self‑manage and maintain leadership expectations
Minimum Qualifications
High school education or equivalent required
At least 1 year of customer service experience
Experience with business/office tools such as CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Microsoft Office products
