Develop a deep understanding of client businesses and sectors globally, identifying their position, challenges, and opportunities within their industries
Advise clients on PR and content plans aligned to business objectives
Identify and develop proactive story angles that build visibility and credibility across earned, owned, and shared channels
Develop high‑quality content including high value anchor content (e.g. white papers), press releases, thought leadership, social content, and blogs. Graphic content skills also welcome
Create anchor pieces of high value content to allow news angles to hang from and develop other types of content to align to engaging target audiences in multiple ways
Present work and results to clients, clearly demonstrating impact against agreed objectives and outcomes
Lead and support the delivery of PR and content campaigns across global markets
Collaborate with internal teams to develop impactful concepts and bring communications ideas to life, including working with creative teams to extend activity across earned channels
Devise and execute media and PR plans that support key initiatives, including the effective use of PR to enhance search visibility
Secure earned opportunities to profile senior leaders and subject matter experts in alignment with business objectives (e.g. media coverage, features, speaking opportunities, podcasts, and events)
Build and maintain strong relationships with media across traditional and digital platforms, establishing trusted connections with key journalists and influencers
Contribute to crisis communications support, including advising on preparedness and supporting response activity, as well as ongoing improvement of response processes

Act as a strong advocate for the agency's values, people, and commercial interests
Support business development activity, contributing to proposals and pitches
Demonstrate and communicate the effectiveness and impact of work delivered
Collaborate with business development and client services teams to develop proposals, ensuring a seamless transition from pitch to activation
Support Fifth Ring's marketing activities as required

Build and leverage strong internal and external networks to solve problems and deliver client outcomes
Work effectively with the Traffic Manager to ensure efficient resourcing and delivery against client requirements
Manage and support junior team members, contributing to their development and performance
Collaborate with colleagues across all Fifth Ring locations, contributing proactively to team visibility and creative output

Requirements
Comfortable working across both offline and digital communications channels
Strong understanding of today's media landscape and confidence in challenging conventions and pushing boundaries
Confidence in advising clients on modern communications channels and techniques and their value and application
Ability to analyse, interpret, and clearly present performance data to demonstrate outcomes and impact
Build strong relationships across teams and act as a trusted advisor to clients
Effectively prioritise and manage multiple projects and deadlines, working closely with the Traffic Manager
Produce consistently high‑quality work with thorough checks and approvals before external distribution
Confidence in using relevant tools and platforms and fully social media literate
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, staying close to the news agenda and responding quickly to emerging opportunities
Experience developing and delivering effective PR and content campaigns across multiple formats and channels, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for different audiences
Experience working within an integrated, omni‑channel communications environment
Experience in B2B marketing
Experience in international communications (advantageous)
Proactive and solutions‑focused, with confidence to bring forward ideas and challenge thinking
